Graduate School Admission Results

Perfect GPA, no publication, an honest/confident SoP, 7 LoRs (not from famous but from professors who know me well). No interview. EE.

TTTB Prof. Manolis sent an interview email to me last month. Just a ten minutes interview. But Didn't get the accept email. I think I am rejected.

Totally unexpected. No interview, no publications. Perfect GPA good SoP (I guess?) good RLs, 1 year research experience.

TTPB: Did you receive an official e-mail rejection from MIT EECS EE application?

I guess they really decided not to accept EE applicants

POI told me there will be no more acceptance.

About the below posters: Do you receive the official rejection email or your web portal shows rejection?

Applied for EE program.

I heard the admission committee are done with reviewing all the applicants by now and most likley no additional admission offer will be sent out.

1 excellent RL (probably carried my app), 2 ok RL. No authorships

TTPB: How did you receive the rejection? Was it a formal email or did they upload it in the website?

Does anyone receive acceptance (Ph.D.) in the healthcare area?

First author in several papers and technology license. 1 year as research assistant at MIT. Only summer internship experience. 3 strong recommendations 2 of which from MIT.

TTPB: I applied in HCI but haven't heard back. BTW, who did you mention as your POI in the SOP for MIT?

I heard from a prof in EECS that all of the acceptance decisions have been made and distributed. Good luck in all future endeavors!

Received email on 1 pm EST. Interviewed with a professor not in SoP.

Looks like all the acceptance emails have been sent

So MIT only sends offers by one time right? All other students not receiving anything will be rejected? Actually I don't receive the rejection email.
