Graduate School Admission Results

Wow. I really thought I had shot here after visiting the school, being interviewed in person and meeting with a potential PI. This one stings. 12 more to go I guess

I'm a Hawaii resident, which may have helped. It's a conditional acceptance (based on passing a background check + final course requirements + 25 hrs of observations).

Received an email about applying for a TA position. Contacted and was emailed a copy of my acceptance letter. Worried because the deadline to accept admission is the end of February, which is before I will have heard back from a number of other programs. No word on funding.

At least now I don't have to stay up all night every night wondering how my application could be better. I am the BIG sad and will probably remain this way until the day I die. They said no :,) 7 more schools to go

This one really hurts. I got the impression from my interview that I had a guarunteed shot. 3/11, all rejections so far. Decent GPA, decent test scores, no published papers (two works in progress), but TONS of research and posters/talks.

Emailed POI (JL) to ask if still considering applicants. Responded asking for Skype interview!

Rejected from PhD, offered place in MA program.

Email from head of department stating admission. Funding info coming later.

Correction to my post below, I accidentally selected Spring 2020, but it's actually for Fall 2020

Informal letter of acceptance, formal letters etc to come in in a few weeks. Excited!!
