Graduate School Admission Results

TPB: Visit day is a a 1.5 hour ”open house” on 4/1. They also invited students to attend seminars throughout that week. Admitted students were asked to fill out a Google form to indicate whether they planned to intend. My guess is that UCSD has no idea what their yield will look like this year, so they are trying to wait a little longer to send out the rest of the results....

TPB: They haven't released waitlists yet, so I think there is still a chance. Does anybody know when their visit day is scheduled for?

TPB: I've got the email too. One of my friends also got it. From my understanding it's also possible the posts half a month ago were not trolls. They seem to have an unusual recruitment strategy this cycle.

There is only one post this year. Does it mean I am rejected if I haven't heard from them?

TPB: Rotman BE tends to admit students based on connections. I am wondering if they have ever looked at any application besides the one with connections.

Haven't heard anything from Warwick. Is an interview necessary for admission?

I received an email to interview with Professor Eraslan... not really sure what's the difference vs interviewing with PhD students though

Interview with 2 grad students.

GPA is grad. Engineering background. I got rejected by the PhD but they accepted me for their Masters, which can be transferred for PhD withihn 1 year. Acceptance deadline is 31st march

TPB: No, I didn't receive any interview from UCR

They said they were impressed with my application and asked if I have other places I strictly prefer. Very weird email.

TPB: I also did not hear anything. I think it is implicit rejection.

I guess I got accepted? Weird email.
