Told by email that i am waitlisted and that i will hear from them about the final decision in 2 weeks

Have you asked about your status and then they answered or you have just received an email?

Email to check site. Accepted into M.A. w/ progression to PhD no initial funding. I already have an M.A. though, so will likely reject if both progress to PhD & funding is not guaranteed.

Checked the website and it says "Unfortunately you have been unsuccessful in your application for your first choice course. An email has been sent to you." What e-mail? Congrats LSE, just like Northwestern.. not even an e-mail

Pushed for a decision yesterday and DGS told me my decision was held back due to my funding need, also told me would let me know today. Admitted with full funding for first year!

To those saying they're rejected everywhere - what was your strategy for applying? All top 10-15 or something? You should try applying more broadly than that next time, because you could probably get something in the 20-50 range, assuming you have the math, GRE, etc.

Set up an interview. Does anybody know Columbia MA's placement from last year? i dont really have the means to support myself in NYC for a year, or if ill be able to secure letters of recommendation over 3 months to reapply

Hello mate! I had applied to only top 15 schools in the U.S. Thank you very much for the tips. I am a fresh graduate and also I did not have any work experience. I shall look for good options in my home country now.

I wrote them couple of weeks ago. They replied that they "cannot disclose about my application" and that sending out will "continue to the end of April".

Waiting on funding :(

Thanks for the information below. I haven't heard any news about BC until now. I guess the signal is not promising.

Top 3 choices are UNC, USC (soCal not Carolina), and UC Davis. Anyone have any input? I want to do applied macro/metrics on the more financial side of things.
