Graduate School Admission Results

Received the department admission letter. Still waiting for the official letter. Does anyone know when McGill will send out the official letter? Does anyone apply for the CSC scholarship?

Just got an email saying that I was recommended for admission. International student, funding 20k. Will be rejecting the offer in favor of UBC.

lol McGill sends me an acceptance a month after the big 4... what do they expect? Rejecting. I have way better offers and quite frankly I'm not impressed by their timing. I even told them ahead of time about my other offers and they refused to do anything other than tell me they're still deciding. The train keeps moving... honestly most Canadian schools have already made offers and McGill will be picking up the leftovers.

Has anyone who applied for PhD in this school heard from them recently? I’m wondering when they are going to finish with the 1rst round of their admissions.

Well still they keep their silence, I wish they could go silent forever since timing is another important aspect of this painfull process and apparently they don't care about how we are suffering from uncertainty. Anyway, I just give up waiting and hitting F5 in my computer because I don't want to lose this button in my PC. It will be useful in my future endeavours :)

Had an interview with POI on Monday. Got formal letter today. Partial scholarship offered.

Hey guys! I applied last December and haven't heard back anything since then, except for the time I was asked to answer 3 additional questions on the portal in mid Jan. Has McGill generally not released any decisions for CS? Asking since I can find only very few accept/reject posts on here. Also, if no professors are interested in your application, does it mean you're automatically rejected like in the case of Waterloo?

My application status just changed from "Submitted" to "Invalid". Does that mean rejection? I've submitted the application since December and checklist was completed. Does anybody have similar situation going on?

Got an automatic reply from Ann Jack stating she is on leave till the end of April and if we have any questions about admission decisions, then that will also come by the end of April. LOL

oh u gotta be kidding me... who's gonna be in charge of the admission stuff after she left??

I checked when the latest results from this university arrived last year on Grad cafe. It was in the middle of May. So I think there is still a chance to hear from them.
