Graduate School Admission Results

Received a phone call on 2/18, then an email on 2/19, then a full packet in the mail a few days later.

Interviewed by a professor in December last year and accepted in the interview

Received email from Director of program that I have been waitlisted. Email mentioned they will not update my waitlist status until after April 15

Noted GPA is M.A. GPA

Potential advisor reached out to me for interviews. Had 4 total - 3 with faculty, 1 with potential advisor. Also received an invitation for a virtual recruitment event in mid Feb. During interviews, they said they would review applicants after the recruitment event and would hope to have acceptance letters out shortly afterward.

It took a while to hear back. I was very sad to see that I wasn't waitlisted. Good luck to everyone else that applied to this program. I wish you all the best. Cheers.

Had a below-Duke-average GRE scores but a Fulbright scholarship and a strong marine background. I was interviewed on late November, which I thought went pretty well.

Standard Rejection Email. No interviews, sent emails to professor Iaccarino in February but he didn't reply. Area: Fluid Mechanics. 4 Strong LORs. Strong Research Background. Accepted at MIT, rejected from Stanford, lottery at this point. Good luck to those still waiting!

Got an email from my PI saying that he had decided not to take another student this year. He had been waiting to notify me until he was sure that I didn't get placed in any other labs but he's pretty sure I didn't. He warned me about this from the start so not too surprised, just happy that I know something! Still waiting for the official rejection. 1a/0w/1r/3p

To the poster below: I am sorry, I am not sure if you will hear back soon. I know that they are a smaller office and took a while to respond to my original application. I did get accepted via e-mail into the MPS program and cannot wait!!!!
