Graduate School Admission Results

Decent rejection letter.

Surprised as my interests fully coincide with fields of Caltech faculty. And I was admitted to the higher rank program where they don't have professors who share my research area. wtf

Devastated : ( Email said: "Thank you for your application to the graduate program at the California Institute of Technology. After carefully reviewing your application, the faculty has decided that they are unable to grant you admission. "

Scary is right. Wow - only 5?? Ugh. I've been getting anxious too. Made all the worse with all this sitting around lately due to virus. I just want to hear something. Good luck everyone.

The school is closed until further notice. So it will be a while before we get the decisions. I am still waiting for the decisions as well. I know a professor in the program who indicated that not all offers are out.

Where did you hear that they still have seats available?

Received an email saying that “decision will be available after the end of the business day today”. Anyone knows what does this imply? Thanks.

Previous Poster: Mason posted on Twitter the other day that NSSR is only admitting 5 people this year. Made me anxious, since I am also waiting to hear back from them. They sent me my login information twice, but no contact since early February.

Received financial package from San Diego. Includes a 25% readership, has anyone received it/knows what work it implies?

Rejected by the Ph.D. program; accepted by the master program; no word for funding...Is there any possibility to negotiate it into a funded offer??? So desperate these days..

Email received 12:25 EST, saying the decision is now available online. Expected as I didn't receive interview invites.

Accepted with full funding. Going to accept.
