Not surprised. Noted their program has mentioned only accept a limited number of international students. (mostly with their undergraduate in the US I guess)

generic letter. first rejection!

generic email and then update to website. My second rejection today and I'm getting nervous about the rest of my schools

Got an e-mail about status change on the portal. A very formal reject there.

Interview dates: Jan 30-31 or Feb 20-21 (admissions said they’re trying to combine interview weekends with UC Berkeley in Feb)

I know this would happen since they accept a very small number of international students(international unfriendly). However, it's a great school. Worth a try.

To the person asking prior, I do think it looked like a mass email from the admission head’s email (only personalization was the first and last name).

int student, did not submit the validation of my academic records. low undergrad gpa, finishing 2 master’s degrees, 3.5 years of research experience, 2 conferences, 2 awards for my presentations, 1 submitted article; president of several student bodies

Received an email from the program manager with an invite to interview. UCSF doesn't need a GRE. Undergrad GPA 3.4, 1.5 years undergrad research and 1.5 years postgrad with 3 publications (not 1st author) at the time of application.

1.5 years of research + Master of Science in CMB. 1 paper under review.
