does the acceptence email from john kennan mean we have to teach in the first year or what does it mean? says 'Briefly, the Teaching Assistantship pays a stipend of $19,000 for the first two years (conditional on satisfactory progress) plus a tuition waiver and a health benefit package (which includes spouse and children). ' so what does this mean?

"Priority wait listed" they are paying for my plane ticket to come to visitation day. Is this common? A good sign? Or are all wait listed people usually brought in?

No first year funding.

"The reviewers have finished reviewing the files and have informed me of the offers. Unfortunately your name was not on this first list. However, and depending on how many of this first group accept, we may do a second round of offers, and your name is on the list for a second look. The second round would be done as those from the first list decline us so really anytime between March 1 and September 1. Because of the restriction with resources we can only take 12 students into the program. If someone from the first 12 students declines us then they will advise me the next name to follow up with an offer. The reviewers do not provide rankings for the second round."
