Is there anyone who haven't heard anything from UMich? If yes, I e-mailed them about the situation and ask what the hack is going on? They replied with your application is still under review. So, if anyone else in the same situation, that is the situation you can infer. It may yield to implied waitlist/rejections. If there is someone with an inside person or who can call and ask the DGS, that would be awesome.

To the guy who is deciding between Minnesota, Maryland and UCSD. I hope you will decide Minnesota over Maryland.

Are interviews technical or conversational? How much emphasis is laid on knowledge of existing literature? Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Is there any MAPSS econ track DIRECT applicant who finished application BEFORE Jan/4 but haven't received either admission nor rejection? Chicago said they release 1st round admission in early March, so I'm little bit worried

To poster below: I also have not received a response from UMichigan. I called their department like ~ 2 weeks ago and they also told me my application was still under review.. this was after the initial acceptance wave and the rejection wave as well. Either way, I've decided to do my masters this year, and Ill apply to US programs again next year.

Is Berkeley out? Someone should call Berkeley's econ dept tomorrow. Last year they sent their acceptances in two differente dates though. They said it was an error from their system.

Any updates? I have emailed the department but no response. They really take their time.
