20k Funding Package

GPA is grad. Really sad :/

The original email about the MAPSS program was from Ottilie Young with the subject "MAPSS Econ". There was another email from the same person a few minutes later that just said "Ottilie Young would like to recall the message, "MAPPS Econ"." That's all we know for now, I have emailed the two profs named in the first email for some clarification.

TPB: I just received the email today, GPA 3.0/4.0, but I managed to do some research work with very good profs. Canadian Student

Disappointed.

Waitlisted for funding. :(

Teaching assistantship to cover tuition and provide a stipend. Details in a letter to come this week

TPB: Yes the initial email was recalled. Later they mentioned they are not recalling the offer, but the email was sent due to error in the system. They will fix it in a few hours.

Just received a followup email stating "We are not recalling any offers at this time, but please bear with us a few hours to sort out the issue and we'll get back to you asap." Still not entirely clear what that means, but we'll find out soon.

Emailed to ask about status. :(

I wonder if someone is willing to contact the admissions department regarding the official offer and funding decisions :)

Does not receiving an interview request imply rejection? Anyone not heard from them since submitting the application? I'm so worried because this is my top choice. Does anyone know which professor(s) conduct the interview for the IDE track?

Mine still says PhD but I got the email of acceptance of MA.

We have only 11 spots and approx. 170 applicants many who already have a masters and Bachelor’s degrees with a heterodox background and thus a very clear research program in heterodox economics. Although improving your statement of interest may help some given the applicant pool we get I do not believe it would be sufficient. This is really a reflection of the small number of spots we have. From Professor Mwangi So if you do not have a heterdox background it is almost impossible to get into this school!
