Graduate School Admission Results

To the poster about the PhD decisions: I got my rejection from Lori Cottle on Feb. 19th. Maybe you made it further in the process.

Does anybody know about the PhD applicants? I talked to one of the professors 4 weeks ago and he told me the results will be out in 2 weeks! Damn it, I've waited for 2 weeks for choosing between Tepper school and (possible) MS&E dep.

E-mail notification sent 10 March 2010; postal notification received 12 March 2010. (Both email and snail versions contained the same message, and made it clear that the tuition is to be entirely self-funded.) I'm going to wait for other schools re potential funding and research job placement stats before committing to any institution. My stats: 3.7 GPA/1410 GRE, EE background. To the other user who expressed concern about earthquakes, I'm scared, too! I've lived in CA for almost my whole life and have been through two extremely unpleasant earthquakes to date.

Response to request for concentration: I was admitted to Systems, but I don't remember how I ranked concentrations when I applied.

Will hear about funding at a later date.

Nominated for fellowship. Admitted by STVP faculty (strategy and org/tech/entrepreneurship).

I was once on waiting list for one week, yesterday received E-mail notification of my admission eventually. Great! My dream program.

Rejected from PhD earlier, accepted to MS now

Just for the record; rejected with 800q 690v and 3.9 gpa. I was not expecting this but this program has too much uncertainty wrt opp.s in the market, so it might be a good thing for me to be rejected, well I hope.
