Graduate School Admission Results

Thought it was safe for my profile. Very disappointed.

MPH in Epidemiology. 3.3 grad/undergrad GPA. 1 Year at CDC

Full funding + $19k stipend

Anyone heard from U of Iowa?

To the poster below who asked about University of Iowa biostatistics. Yesterday I called them, they said this year they would not send rejection letters to the applicants, but they said they had already sent all the offers to the candidates and there is another 10 people in the waiting list. So if you didn't hear back from them, that means you have low probability to get admission. However, if you don't have master degree, they will consider you to enter their ms program without funding.

Emailed them about application status, and got unofficial rej.

This decision was made only after careful examination of all available materials and factors. Offers of admission are extended to those individuals who, among the many well qualified applicants considered, have the best overall qualifications and most closely match departmental interests and objectives. Please do not feel that this decision is a reflection on your qualifications.
