Graduate School Admission Results

I thought I had failed to get in for another year—late acceptance after mostly radio silence—instrumentation specialization and lots of hands-on undergraduate research but from a very small university. Be disheartened, it's impossible not to feel that way, but no matter what do not give up. Remember this whole system is luck-based as much as it is based on your hard work.

I still haven't received any decisions, is there anyone who already got offer from them in this field?

Ignore the waitlist. Has anyone received any updates from UCLA? I know people who got a status update (no email) that was a rejection, but my portal still looks the same as before, without any updates. Anyone else experiencing this?

I was notified that I'm on a 'short waitlist' a week ago. I don't have any other acceptances, so please reject your offer if you decide to not go here. Thanks!

Had an interview the week of the 26th

Interviewed Jan 25th

No GRE. 1 first author paper. Entirely expected, applied just to put myself out there more than anything else. I knew my GPA wouldn't be good enough lol

0/4 for 'big' US Schools, thankfully I got admission into my top realistic choice

Did Princeton P3 program. 2+ years of research experience. Realized it wasn't the best fit so it's ok although I'm 0/6. Waiting on 4 more.

3 years of research, 1 published paper. Got standard "go check portal" email.
