Invited for a preliminary interview in December and then PI invited me to official interview in late January

Please ignore decision and school. This is my first application cycle. I have noticed people being invited to interviews from programs I applied to, but I have not received any notification from these programs. Should I expect to receive some sort of rejection email or should I just take the lack of contact as a rejection?

Ignore status. Does anyone who interviewed for USF's School Psych PhD program have any insight into the interview process, or is there anything I should be prepared for? TIA.

GRE not submitted. Had a 20 minute phone interview w/ PI on 12/20. Received an email from the program director about an hour after the call ended informing me that I was accepted!

Master's GPA 3.9 No GRE. Close research fit. Interview date was 12/19 though, I had already met the professor in November, over zoom and in person. Waiting for second round of interviews mid January.
