Got no email, just logged into my portal to check out of curiosity.

Got an email from the program coordinator.

Rejected from PhD app, but offered full-tuition paid scholarship for masters program

Asked if I want to be considered for MS.

I have extensive research articles and experience, but my research fit is lacking. I wish everyone well.

1 publication, 1 international award, 6+ teaching experiences, 1 REU, 4 years research experience

No GRE, no master. International first generation MD.

Notified by emails from 2 professors I interviewed, separately. Took 2 hours later to receive official letter on application homepage. Had 4 interviews with 3 profs and 1 graduate student. Funny that I was rejected for Penn state, Boston Univ, Michigan, but accepted here, so try to apply as much as possible because I think there is some kind of randomness and luck for phd application. 1 first author publication in journal (IF >12), 3 yrs lab experience, no gre,

Got an email from a professor I interviewed with and then I checked the portal to find a status update. International student with 3.54 undergrad GPA, 4.0 master's GPA from the US, 2 mid-author pubs and one first author preprint, 2 years of part-time research experience, 1 year full-time (master's thesis).
