French Literature Graduate School Admission Results

Has anyone heard from IFS/French?

Congrats to all of those who were admitted! If anyone already knows that they won't be attending, please let the committee know for those still waiting on a decision.

I was on the wait list, but got an unofficial e-mail from the DGS today, notifying me that an offer is forthcoming.

Form email from dean of the graduate school. Wasn't going anyway, but about time we heard something.

4th rejection out of 4.. very disappointed. graduating from ivy league school with honors and got great recs. may have to do with the fact that i would be just out of undergrad.

1a/0w/3r out of 5.

Has anyone applied to a combined program with film studies? (not necessarily French; any program). Has anyone been interviewed or heard anything?

I was invited by e-mail, and then two days later by phone, to NYU's hosting day later in the month.

Phone interview last week; emailed thank-yous and got a reply that they were in their final phase of deliberation and that I would hear soon.

I was interviewed and got my answer a few hours later.

After a Skype interview, I was invited for an on-campus interview in mid February.

accepted!

Got off the wait list!!!!!!!!

To the other person who inquired about BU, I still didn't get any notification and when I called them they said they will call me back with a decision soon. If anyone hears anything please post!

Accepted by email two weeks ago, and notified of graduate assistant-ship by email today.
