Had an interview via video call about 2 months ago and haven't heard anything back since then. The department asked me to reach out to POI and set up an interview but I couldn't find any available POI that matches my research interests and accepting PhD students this fall. Looks like the failure of connecting with faculty played a huge role in my admission decision. Good thing is I've already been admitted to a better program has more than 3 professors who are looking forward to working with me. And they have enough research funding in the area I am interested. |
