UCSD HAD THE MOST RANDOM APPLICATION PROCESS. Heartbroken

Lmao, kinda expected at this point. 140 dollars down the drain, plus the shitty attitude of the grad admissions committee.

:( UCSD gave admit to people who got rejects from NEU, ASU and didn't give admits to better profiles. Understanding on what basis the admits are given is damn impossible. PS: I am not demeaning anyone but just stating the facts

ttpb, who asked for profile. New IIT. 9.36/10. GRE 331. Top conference papers - 1, 2nd author. Under review one more. 1 foreign internship at a top 10 US university. Strong letters from 2 iit professors and one from foreign intern prof. Admits from UT austin, ETH, CMU, USC. Rejects from maryland gatech ucsd ucla.

TTPB: TO the person who got admit from usc,What's your cgpa?? from which college??

Sadly rejected. At this moment I am thinking about why I even bothered to apply at this University. Definitely wasn't thinking with my head. Please don't apply with a low GRE score it is not worth your money. Miracles never happen unless your profile is really really good. Congrats to those who got admit.

ttpb, people are salty because more shitty profiles got in. im from an iit with 9.36/10 and got rej. students with 8.2 with major course grades less than 8/10 with far weaker letters got in. UCSD isn't an elite uni as most of you make it. it's selective for the reason that they'll take people who'll be too happy to go there. for me it was a safe school have offers from uiuc cmu eth and ur austin lol. all for mscs.

Reject from all the universities I applied to except USC.

I would like to add TTPB. I just lucked out. Got just one admit out of 14 this year, albeit a very good one! Luck really does play a big role unless you have a stellar profile, but you'll get admits from anywhere in that case.
