Some research work, no publications. 3 internships (including 1 year at CERN). Open source contributions. Not the best of class GPA.

Major in Environmental Engineering and minor in law at a top5 university in China, ranked 3/44 in major. 2 years research experience; 2 related internship; national scholarships in consecutive 2 years; 2 ordinary LoRs; once participated in a summer school at ETHz; strong volunteer and leadership activities. Also applied for ESOP but not invited for interview, which I think it means rejection~

Quite poor overall GPA, no research experience, although above average grades in Computer Science courses, coming from the most recognized French Grande Ecole and having won prizes in mathematical and competitive programming contests.

B.E. in Mechanical, no research experience less undergrad gpa 7.7/10

4th year undergrad, UofT, high distinction, 2 strong LORs (one from prof. at ETH), summer research exchange at ETH, internship at Symantec. Distributed systems track

Had an interview in first week of Feb. Been an long wait since. Top of the class from excellent university, strong LORs, no publications. Will have to wait for letter.

To all those international applicants accepted in Electrical Engg& Inforamtion Technology, if anyone received there official letter by post already?

To the poster below, yes, I did receive my letter less than a week after I was notified by email (5 days after if I remember well).

I applied online and email at Dec 16th. Get email replied by professor's postdoc one week after, before Christmas. Right after new year, I get email and the interview was scheduled. I was interviewed at Friday Jan 12nd with the professor's postdoc. He said there will be another interview with the professor (if I passed his interview) No news so far....crossing fingers. Oh, I applied to the cryptography group and I guess admission process varies in different group, even in the same department.

Interview for ESOP with two professors to present my pre-proposal and discuss my previous research and BSc program. Very excited for this!!! Worked really hard on the application and wrote a perfect SOP. My LORs were good but weren't the best. 1.5 years research in Stem Cells and 6 months in Personalized Medicine. No publication. Studied at the top university in the country but not very well recognized internationally.

Hello everyone, I just did the interview today with two professors and one of them told me that ESOP results will be out starting from the 8th of March till the 15th. Best of luck to all of us :)

Dual Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Pure Mathematics. One internship, one research in related topic. Very strong recommendation letter.

Seem to still be processing applications. Had previously thought I'd be unsuccessful as everyone else here had heard 1.5/2 weeks ago, but thankfully not.

Rejected admission. No ESOP, no MSP either. Sad, but oh well.
