CMT. So late.

Did anybody in the wait list get any information recently on when they'll hear back?

Anyone heard from CMU after their interviews on the prospective student day? They're pushing it a little late, and it's the only chance that I have of getting into somewhere decent. Please decline your offer if you're not interested. Hep-ex.

To the CMU poster below, no idea, in fact I am also waiting for the same and don't have any other place to go as of now. Astrophysics

To poster below. I was told by Markus that waitlisted students would hear back by the end of last week, so I am quite worried, as you can imagine. I have to decide whether or not to visit another school based on CMU's decision, so it's cutting it a bit late for me.

To hep-ex person, since you are a domestic applicant, you must have attended their visiting weekend so do you have some idea how many were interviewed that day or are interviewed in total and what would be their approximate class size? I was told that they are hiring more profs. this academic year and may take a bigger class than usual.

To CMU poster below, there were 24 people at the visiting day, and I was told that they generally accept around 10 +- 3 students. I don't know if that's domestic applicants or total. I don't know the number of students there that were waitlisted vs. the number that were accepted. If there is no more information available by Monday, I'll email to find out.

People who have better offers please decline your offer at NCSU. This can be my last chance.
