Graduate School Admission Results

To the poster below, could you share your profile? Also, did you apply to the MS in Computer Science program or the new MS in Data Science (Data Science initiative)?

Did anyone hear from them about when they are releasing the results? There has been no communication from their side and the portal is stuck at No decision. Very frustrating.

To the post below, I emailed NYU and they told me there is no time-frame that candidates on waitlisted will be notified of final decision.

To the poster below, they should email the decision in 4-6 weeks. According to the Webinar that's available on Youtube, they said they will start evaluating in the last week of March. Considering there are 50 seats, they are going to be looking at individuals with a higher score in Personal Profile, with some basic programming, although CS and Statistics Majors are not their target. I personally think if one is targeting non CS and Statistics majors, basic programming should not be a part of the course, but instead it should be offered in an extra semester.

To the poster below, offers went out by mail and not email? Also, does the 1% comment apply to all applicants or just internationals?

Is there anyone else who have not heard from the admissions office yet? And anyone who got an interview?

Just received an email saying they have made their decisions and that I have been wait listed. I should receive a decision by end of May. People who have already received offers, when is the deadline for you to accept it? And for people who are going to decline it could you please reject it as soon as possible. Would greatly help people like us!

Any waitlisters heard anything back from NYU?

Nope, haven't heard anything so far. If the deadline for those who admitted to decide whether they accept the offer is May 13, I guess waitlisters need to be patient for a few more weeks? The torture is real...

To the post below, nope I haven't heard heard anything back from NYU after waitlisted. Deadline for those accepted to decide on their offers is May 13, so hopefully we can hear back of final decision some time around mid to late May?

Applied to fall 2017 but accepted to Spring 2018

I have sent an email to the program director of Ryerson University regarding the same you people are discussing about. Not getting any update about your application status is frustrating and ridiculous. How can they put student\'s career at risk by doing so, as being an International student we have paid 110 CAD just for an single application. I believe they should atleast have a courtesy to respond or update a status of an application. We should publish this on facebook or should do something (Blog or quora) and write about all such things about ryerson university. so that next time other student dont waste their money and dont wait to hear from them for so long.

Still waiting. Been warned these programs are a cash grab.

Studied Finance as undergrad, self taught software developer with 4+ years experience in startups with experience in marketing, sales, customer success, product development, software development, etc... Process of admission: submit app -> +4 weeks -> Interview -> +2 Weeks -> Phone call with admission decision -> +1 week -> official email of admission.

No one is saying that internationals should have priority!!! What Universities in Canada REALLY should do, is to put this information on their websites!!! We should be aware that internationals have no priority and that they to not care about our visa process and all the providences needed for someone who are going to live in another country. We you read their websites, it seams that we (international) are going to have the same possibilities of a national one. This is serious and not fair.

Whatever the case atleast tentative dates should be provided to Internationals, I called up the admission department and they told me that results will be distributed till June. And there's no specific date. I mean come on, just give me an estimate for second round.....

Does anyone know when the hell would anouncements come....I called office thrice but no one picked up the damn phone at Grad office...wasted my time and money........
