Automated email redirecting to application notification at university portal. Standard rejection.

Ignore waitlist. Anyone without a decision have heard back from UCLA or have attempted to email them? I emailed them at least 3 times in the last month to 2 different email addresses and received no response. Does this department cares about applicants? The worst part is the application fee, to all seriousness, a department so inconsiderate is probably not anyone would end up wanting to be. F**K THEM I am going to file a credit card dispute on the application fee. What a disappointment to all of human decency.

Did mech. engg. in undergrad and didn't like it, so switched to an urban policy career over the years. Got great feedback from admissions officer for application, but clearly that didn't cut it.

TTPB, to folks who are waiting for the updates: when did you have the interview? I had 3 interviews (from 2 groups) in January and early February but heard nothing yet.

Finally heard something back. I guess NYU and Georgetown are the same

TTPB: Don't give up yet. Note that the person right above the "only" international applicant admitted is also international. (ST column and see reference at the bottom of the page) It is true that UCLA admits very few international applicants. But never give up! Hope that you will get admitted! Cheers.

(Ignore the interview part). Has anyone heard from UCLA hep-th/ph yet? I'm an international student, UCLA is my dream school, and my anxiety is killing me... (I also saw someone claim that he/she is the only international applicant accepted this year by UCLA's physics department a couple of weeks ago, but I refuse to give up hope...)

TPB: They gave me until April 15th to decide. I don't have any other dominant offers yet--I am still waiting on 15 other schools (4 that will definitely dominate the UCLA offer). Nonetheless, I will make sure to notify them ASAP if I decide to accept another offer. Good luck to you!
