Graduate School Admission Results

Ask the Prof of interest and be informed not to admit me in his/her lab. The last bubble of hope finally burst. I'd like to thank Profs of interest for recommendating me into the list of candidates, anyway...

I emailed them, begging to be informed about my status. They replied saying that if I am admitted, I'll "definitely" be informed before the 15th of April.

To the UMASS poster below: I'm still waiting, too, although I think there's not really any chance now.

Program received about 700 apps and hopes to have review / notifications out by end of March. I hope so! This wait is driving me crazy.

I am also rejected with 3.92 CGPA and 2 journal publications. 800 580 4.5 gre and 113 toefl. Is it possible to get in UMASS somehow? Happy that I have got an admit from GATECH.

Attrocious! 4 GPA from Columbia, and all 3 of my recommenders (professors at Columbia) were phd alumni from Umass. Going to Purdue anyway.

After contact with both the graduate school officials and the admission officials at CS department, the status changes from pending to denied at last. Good luck for everyone.

It seems UMass hasn't sent out much offers yet. Is there any chance for us who haven't got any news? The status page just shows "Applied" for a long time...

To the poster below: I've been at 'Applied' since December too. Guess we'll just have to wait it out. I _am_ pessimistic though.

Won't attend anyway. I prefer an MS at UBC.

Nothing from UMass yet. I've been checking their website constantly.

Letter dated Mar 29th. I probably should start throwing my resume around.......and re-applying next year.
