CS Theory PhD- interview request.

I believe that I am on a waitlist for Northwesteren, I am hoping to work with Prof. Kaitlin Smith. If you have better offers at hand, please reject NW, as this is my only chance to start PhD this upcoming fall(2024). And, I do really want to work in her group (Quantum Computing/Quantum Hardware)! If anyone has any information about this lab/group please contact me!! Thanks! I saw someone doing this type of entry, thought maybe it's a good idea to reduce my stress haha.

PhD in Learning Sciences and Computer Science, Northwestern University. I did not receive an interview invitation. Reject on 3 March 2024.

Got an email to check the portal.

HCI focus. No published papers, one paper in submission to CHI. 3 posters at ACM and IEEE conferences. Undergrad and Master's degrees from top 5 CS schools in USA.

Application focused on intersection of HCI and AI ethics. Email from prof asking to schedule interview. Previous Masters in comp ling + 7 industry YOE

Seattle campus. Applied on 29th November.

Applied on November 11 Profile: BE Computer from Pune Institute of Computer Technology, India (2020) GPA: 8.6 / 10 GRE: 163 Q, 160 V, 4 AW TOEFL: 112 / 120 No research experience 1 project internship during final year (same was used as the capstone project) 2 years of experience as a test automation engineer

Application did not take GRE scores. 0 publications. 1 research experience. Sad that I was rejected
