Had an interview last week. Got waitlisted today.

I finally got the rejection today. It has been 3 months since the interview and a month since I reached out to the department for an update (with no reply), so I was expecting it. At least the email from the DGS was kind and personalized. After two seasons of being shut out, I think it is time to accept defeat, get a cat, and move to plan B. Is there anyone here who had an interview with Maryland and hasn't heard back and/or knows what's going on with them? I interviewed with them a month and a half ago and haven't heard a peep from them since. I'm not sure what to think of the silence since I already saw some rejection and waitlist posts.

Grad GPA. It took forever to hear from UMD, so I assumed I wasn't getting in and already accepted an offer elsewhere. Not upset! Thankfully, that was the last application.

I reached out to them and was told I was waitlisted. And -- "All the candidates should be hearing soon, as the first round of acceptances is done." If you are planning to decline, please let them know. And for MA offers (if PhD doesn't come through)- does Maryland fund completely?
