Graduate School Admission Results

It sucks! The status was still under review after the interview for almost 5 months and there was no reply from the department. I sent the last email to ask about my admission status, and reply was “Unfortunately, we were not able to …feel free to apply for the next fall”. The reply with only two sentences was very impolite and unprofessional.

Has anyone heard back from Case after their interviews??

Accepted to Epi March 22nd by refreshing the portal. uOttawa undergrad student, good last two years GPA (3.95+) and secured a PI beforehand. Had a publication at the time of applying and a poster presentation at an international conference. Will be accepting!

Canadian, Canadian BSc and MPH

This school sucks! They even didn't send me an email to let me know I should check the portal. I check the portal by myself. Long wait, and ignored all my emails to ask the status. I've been already accepted to a better fit school.

Notified to check portal and congratulatory message from the faculty of medicine hours later. My undergrad is in Physics, one paper in infectious diseases and one in climate health. Been in contact with PI for a year and one recommendation was submitted by her. Unfortunately, I have declined this offer as I have already enrolled in a PhD program elsewhere.

Research experience, solid letters of recommendation, and semi-related jobs. No publications, but I presented posters in a few conferences. I'm not sure if this was a factor, but I have a previous degree in arts and went back to school to pursue one in science.

Canadian out of province. Was not notified of decision - only found out because I refreshed the portal. Had a letter of support from 2 supervisors, relevant research experience and a fair amount of extracurricular involvement. No publications prior to applying.

Received an email that a decision has been made on my application. Logged in and found -"Rejection Letter"

No GRE required this cycle. Old GRE was still showing in SOPHAS though :/. MPH in Epidemiology from SDSU. 4 years industry experience, 1 coauthor publication, 1 first author pending, 1 poster/conference pending. Surprised but not shocked since I am a recent grad of the MPH program. I was joking about academic inbreeding but maybe that's why!

I was sent an interview request in late December. Then, I interviewed in January and was told that I would get a response in February. Lowkey took too long to give me a response. Thought I would get at least waitlisted but alas it was a rejection lmao.
