Graduate School Admission Results

Called today and the lady said that the admissions committee is still debating over a few applicants. No word on when but I assume sometime this week. Good luck and best wishes to everyone

About 40 students are waitlisted according to the Email

This year we received a record number of applicants, but we were only able to admit approximately 1 in 10.

Did anyone mail the admissions dept. To ask for exact date or week for result. People at Stanford said this week and the results were out today! What about the 'Pi' day thing MIT has for undergrads? Nothing for graduate admissions!

got the same email as everyone else... currently attending MIT for undergrad.. this is getting very stressful, i am very tempted to just go to the grad office and ask them for the decision right now

Even I was interviewed in the second week of Feb and received the same mail.

Same here. Got exactly the same mail as you got (the person below). Still hope's alive. Did you get interviewed (the person below). I got interviewed exactly a month back.

Don't listen to the fools below. I just got an email back from MIT: Your application is still with the admissions committee and no decision has been made yet. As soon as a decision is reached we will notify you promptly by email. We expect to have all decisions made by the end of March. If you have not heard from us by that time, please contact us again. Stay positive!!!!

I haven't heard anything back from MIT yet... Since its already pretty late, I think my chance of getting accepted is like zero.

4 Journal Papers and 3 conferences related the topics they covered. And they always cited my papers. I don't know what they are looking for. I met everyone in the department in the conferences. Being an international student always a problem for this schools because my friend got accepted in my lab with lower grades, and I trained him.

Did anyone who were interviewed in first week of Feb. (for masters) got result? I was interviewed on Feb 6. When are we supposed to know?
