Was one of the ambitious colleges so did not have high expectations. Got rejected from Waterloo as well. So pretty worried now, hope I get into some decent college. Waiting for San Diego since people are posting results for this in forum.

I got accepted to all MLD, LTI, SCS, SocComp - they said they will be conducting a department-wide royal rumble to decide who gets to win me and my presence. Beyond funding, they offered models and bottles. A little bit about me: I have 12 publications as first author (4x ICML, 3x NeurIPS, 3x ICLR, 2x AAAI) of which only 11 are best papers. During my undergrad, I taught Andrew Ng Deep Learning (it took him some time but he eventually got it). My area of focus: quantum machine learning. Things I do better than you: all.

Invited to the campus visit, but rejected... The prof inviting me is to have a sabbatical with no hiring. Suprised to know... Four years research experience, many projects. 3 publication (1 first author), 1 under review, 2 preprint (both first author)
