Applications were submitted to the selection committee at the end of each month and it takes 4-6 weeks for final decision. Its almost six weeks in my case and I first thought I would be rejected because of the late reply. Nothing much about this program in forums and blogs and as an applicant, I know how anxious and puzzled we are when applying and waiting. I'm hoping these tips help. I'm an IMG and have been practicing for some time overseas. A few publications. I was told GRE quantitative result is very determinating, otherwise your CV must show good maths records. Second, it's better to well identify your research area and if possible, contact some faculty members or physicians who share the same interest as yours. Remember Stanford or any world class institutions are here to teach and bring up students with motivation and potential to succeed. Good luck to everyone. |

After being stuck on 'under review by department' since the end of September I decided to email them yesterday asking for information on the status of my application. They responded promptly this morning with an email that read "Thank you for your email. I can confirm that the Committee has assessed your application, but will not be taking it further. Good luck for the future." My portal status is still yet to be updated. |
