Yooo~ let's throw a party to celebrate our rejection. So disgusting words in that letter. So happy to be rejected by the arrogant department! Though still hurts while thinking about the application fees!!! Damn it UNC!!!

TPB: I was rejected too! Let's cheer our rejection! It's my honor for not be admitted to this stupid program. While reading *I must inform you that it will not be possible to offer you admission* in that letter, first I was feeling very angry and then feel relieved! The worst and slowest admission process and the worst and dumbest rejection letter! Sucks, UNC.

Oh we are on the same rejection boat! It is so weird that I feel happy after seeing the rejection. ***I must inform you that it will not be possible to offer you admission to the Economics program*** . SHAME on the Econ department at UNC. It must be a hell with people daring sending rejection in this way!!!

TPB: agree with you. I could not imagine receiving rejection notification with sentence like *I must inform you that it will not be possible to offer you admission*. Too ugly. Too bad. UNC sucks!

Check the website and a letter there. "I must inform you that it will not be possible to offer you admission to the Economics program." Disaster application process for having no new news for 5 months and most horrible most disrespectful and rudest rejection words.

TPB: Do you receive the email today? When did you send them email? I asked them one week ago and they did not decide to send out acceptance at that time. Are you gonna accept this offer? Thank you very much!

I do not hear anything from the department and recently I emailed the director of graduate study at lflabbi@email.unc.edu and aslo graduate program coordinator at shelbie@email.unc.edu. They told me I was admitted. The coordinator responses email very slowly or even does not reply email. Thus I recommend you guys to send emails to the coordinator and the director at the same time. Hope you get good luck!

Has anyone heard from them or have an update of when to expect decisions?

"Sadly, despite your terrific qualifications, we won't be able to admit any students from the alternate list this year."

If anyone has been extended an offer but is not planning to attend, please decline the offer as soon as possible at least in advance of 4/15. If you already made up your mind, please don't wait for the common reply date. They are waiting to hear from you (first round of offers) before offering other places. I am begging for your mercy. This is my last hope as I have no other offer yet.

Any information regarding the program? This program is my last chance. I emailed both department and the professor in charge of Ph.D. admission, and received only the generic answer (your application is still under review) from the department and no answer from the professor.

TTPB: I emailed the office and they said we'd hear back before April 20th – uh thanks, yeah all decisions are required by April 15th. People who write these kind of idiots make me question peoples' intelligence sometimes lol

does anyone know if UNC chapel hill is sending out any more acceptances?

Have MPH,1 publication and 4 in preparation. Recommenders played a huge role in admission. congrats for all admitted.

Has anyone heard about funding through scholarships or assistantships? UNC is my first choice, but I received a scholarship to a different school so I'm leaning towards there if I'm not receiving anything.
