Prelim interview invite

I did not need to take the GRE for this program. I was originally waitlisted for 2 months and recently was accepted. While my GPA wasn't very high, I did have 5 years of post-grad research experience.

Denied off the waitlist via email today. Compared to my other waitlist schools, Oregon was very opaque about the whole process...didn't leave a great impression. I'm happily committing to another offer. Can't believe the cycle is finally over!!!

I was waitlisted initially, then received a rejection (hep-th/ph). I was a bit hopeful, but anyway, best of luck to all who made it.

During the period between my undergraduate studies and this graduate application, I took a substantial break. It's worth noting that I already possess an MA from my undergraduate institution. Reflecting on my application process, I don't believe that having a graduate degree beforehand significantly contributed to my candidacy. Instead, I attribute the strength of my application to actively participating in conventions, presenting research, and networking, all of which enhanced my resume/CV.

Got official acceptance letter. Super excited most likely will be attending! :))
