Graduate School Admission Results

Received an email Monday night for the UW Immuno interviews.

1 year laboratory research experience but not so much advanced training. Extensive genomics research experience with 12 publications (6 in IF 3+ Journals) and 2 conference papers (8 as first author). Lot of extracurricular activities. However, I had to withdraw my M.Sc. supervisor as my recommender as he was insisting me to support his work rather allowing me for higher study. But his name still remained in the application system as withdrawn. Additionally, UW doesn't allow federal grant for international students. Don't know what exactly happened.

Fall 2023 - Two years virology lab experience, one conference, two poster presentations, one second-author publication in mBio

for Fall 2023.

Accepted off the wait-list after 2ish weeks!! SO HAPPY!!! Only acceptance, this season was BRUTAL. 3 years research experience in CMX, 2 pubs, 2 preprints.

Will accept!

Emailed department about application status, received rejection email shortly after.
