Graduate School Admission Results

To the MIT applicant: I have applied for ten schools in US and I have just gotten an admission decision from ASU; please stop acting like....and wait! your frustration doesn't make any sense for others!

Called the grad office today and the lady said she can't give me any information regarding the status of the application review process... She won't tell me how many applicants they are still considering nor the latest date in which decision will come out (although they know about the April 15th deadline). I will wait until the end of this week, if I don't receive anything, I will just have to reject myself from this school because this long wait is making me very frustrating. I need to move on.

I emailed the ME grad office last Friday to ask about the delay. I just received this response... Dear [my name]: I just wanted to let you know your application is still with the admissions committee. There is no definitive time when they expect to finish but I will keep you updated and of course, if a decision is made, I will notify you promptly even if it is off hours or on the weekend. We had a highly unusual number of applications this year and it has taken longer than normal for the faculty to review all the applications. We appreciate your patience. Regards, ME Grad Office

to the poster below, were you interviewed for a fellowship or were you wait listed on March 6?

Got admit today with partial funding. Finally I am going to my dream school. I am from India.

Even this week passes! What's cooking in MIT!? Anybody called them today? Tried at morning but phone wasn't lifted.

I haven't either heard back from MIT ME Grad Office since March 6th. I do hope that we all receive our acceptance letters tonight.

Got the same email at March 6, not heard back yet, hope to see all guys there.

To the poster below, I had received an email on the 6th of March, haven't heard back since. Anxious, to say the least. Someone else had posted that there were about 40 applicants on the waitlist. And I have applied to the PhD program, not sure what the scenario is there.

Has anyone who receive the March 6 message receive a final decision? (Before the site shut down)

MIT's Admissions portal says that it's shut down till Sept 15, the start of next fall application season! Is that the case with others too? Does that mean that we're going to receive decision soon?!

To poster below, did you get a straight conventional reply or did they give you a reason for this decision. It's sad to see a rejection after this long wait!
