"I am afraid it is quite unlikely that we will make any waitlist offers at all this year, because our offer acceptance rate so far is higher than we had anticipated. We are very close to reaching our target number, and are in fact likely to exceed the target. If we do make any offers, it is likely to be only on Apr 16 or 17. Sorry to be the bearer of this news, but I think it's better for all if we are completely frank at this stage. If you have any deadlines (say for Apr 15), I'd recommend you go ahead and accept another offer."

Has anyone heard about movements on Michigan waitlist?

Received the offer letter a week before the visit day. Accepted with funding.

Emailed graduate coordinator. They said if I haven't received an acceptance or rejection letter, it means I'm waitlisted. Kind of weird that they wouldn't just tell me that.

Been waitlisted for over two months now. Anyone going to reject the offer?

This is honestly the most unprofessional and unclear reply I've gotten out of the 11 departments so far. Typos, vagueness, and the classic "you were such a good candidate, just not good enough apparently" and it took them this long to read through 230 applicants when UMich finished theirs months ago. ugh I'm sick of it. Glad I have an offer from somewhere else

GPA=grad. Email says small number of candidates added to waitlist, reasonable likelihood of offer in the next few weeks.
