Rejected with generic email from admissions coordinator. Good research fit but not surprised, no interview or contact.

First choice school!

I decided to apply to this program, had great research experience. Along with attachment to Pasco county for internship. It seems USF is looking for something specific, best of luck to all the applicants. All invitations have been given and extended. Best of luck to all! Very good program!!

Sent an email to grad advisor asking if I could have an update on my application because I had another offer from another school. Emailed back and said I had been waitlisted

Praised me as a great candidate, but decided to offer to other candidates whose research interests had a better fit with faculty research.

Four conference papers, one publication, 168 GRE quant, 3,3/4 gpa. However, my research in my BSc was on a different topic, mb because of it :(

Received a Spring Visit Invitation email. It says: details about your financial offer will arrive shortly from the Associate Chair of Graduate Studies. Did anyone receive this email?

Typical reject setences and waitlisted but I think they put all rejected candidates to waitlists.

Rejection email from program co-ordinator informing that I am waitlisted. Anyone else received this?

I emailed the department head and he said that they have not evaluated applications yet. They should be reviewing applications within the next two weeks.

Anybody heard back from them?
