So excited!!! Nuclear theory. 7 months of experimental particle physics research, a semester of research in applied mathematics, current project in gravitational theory. 5 graduate courses taken. 4 years in physics and math education(TA, SI, Tutor, Mentor, etc…)

Materials science, 1a/2r/3p

Applied for Ph.D. and offered admission for MS. I believe unfunded. Requires a separate application and fee. I have 2 summer internships at a national lab and 1.5 years research at home school.

I interviewed, and they really liked me, but state funding has run dry due to the LA fires, so they told me they couldn't afford to fund my PhD. I was interested in QIS.

Here are the primary dates for this application process so far: -Shortlist Notification: November 20, 2024 -Interview Request: December 17, 2024 (date listed for this post) -Actual Interview: mid January There is an "interview week" the week of February 10, 2025. Since I am in the USA, I had my interview early on Zoom and will only attend the talk portions of "interview week." They said that candidates who are more local will have their interviews in-person this week in addition to attending the talks in-person. Initial decisions are expected the next week (week of February 17, 2025).

Got an email for a Graduate TA together with the acceptance, no details provided yet
