Well, I'll very happily be going to Stanford then.

Well, life moves on...

After long waiting. Unfortunately, we are unable to admit you to our graduate program. This year we received a record number of applicants, but we were only able to admit approximately 1 in 10. As a result, we had to turn away hundreds of highly-qualified applicants.

At the present time, there is nothing new to report, nor is there a time when the admissions committee anticipates they will finish making their decisions. The admissions committee certainly understands you have offers from other fine schools and are anxious to make that very important decision. It is equally important for us to select the students which will best fit our needs. As we have stated in all of our previous emails, we will email you as soon as a decision is reached.

First year grad student working on solar energy, second year applying. Heavy focus on detailed short- and long-term research plans. Did not get a notification email initially, had to email them to get more info.

Bachelor degree at Tsinghua. Master student now at Duke. Just do not yield to the fxxking harsh fate.

I just declined my offer to go to MIT and will instead be heading to Stanford. Hopefully they extend my offer to someone else. Good Luck!
