Graduate School Admission Results

MLT

Has anyone NOT received notifications (reject or not) yet? It seems like most of the results are notified on Feb 3 and 4. Please comment below (especially if you had interview with POI)

Current Bits Pilani CS UG. Did not expect such an early result.

Accepted to MLT. no publications. Some research work. Probably great LoRs.

Area: AI/ML, had interview w/ poi

MS ML reject

Got interviewed by 3(!) faculties. Cryptography.

MLD with fellowship. 8 papers, two in submission, a few in progress/preparation. Msc in math. Rejected from UW yesterday, so it's highly stochastic out there people - stay positive!

Admitted into CMU ML PhD with fellowship. No GRE. Multiple publications at top ML venues (ICML, AISTATS, AAAI, IEEE Trans), with a few papers under review.

MSML. From old IIT (top 4). Have one year of research experience in ML. No publications.

MLD. Official notification from the department.

Official email from the department. Also contacted by my POI and a non-POI professor. Interviewed by a POI and professor not mentioned in my SoP. Theory. Several first/co-first author papers in review.

Got the acceptance email from the department head today. Field: Systems. B.Tech CS from old IIT. Had great research internships, projects, and LORs. No publications though.

Adding a data point; got a CMU SCS PhD offer today (Feb 3rd), 3 emails between 3 - 6 pm EST: one from assigned PoI, one from assigned student contact, one from official department head.

MS Machine Learning. Received an email from the program coordinator, with the final decision being released by 8th April. No idea about how large the waitlist is, or where I stand on it.
