TTPB: Congratulations!! Is it the MSCEP Program or the standard, non-CEP Masters?

TTPB who received an email from the EECS department head about the acceptance, Did you mean you get into his group or you just get a general acceptance notifying email from him?

Can someone tell me why u haven’t gotten a rejection letter yet?

Almost 4.0 GPA, high GRE, years of part-time research, one summer full-time research, one summer industry, a lot of clubs and volunteering, some entrepreneurship, some arts. I'm so excited it's my dream school!!!

I had an excellent application. Had interview on 9th Jan, didn't do well (didn't prepare) because I was experiencing a tough divorce and had to move to new apartment. I have lost the chance of the lifetime.

Emailed 3 days post interview. Super awesome program.

TTPB: I emailed their office today. All they said is that their admission cycle is later this year. Best of luck.

To the below poster, I was invited to an on campus interview on 2/24. No idea what it's going to look like or how many people will be there.

To the poster bellow that received an interview invitation: Congratulations! Are you an international applicant?

A professor at MIT I know informed me that this year most graduate student spots are awarded in gravitational physics and less spots are available in other fields. His guess is the same might be true for other schools which are involved in this field. Sucks if you're CME like me...

Has anyone received a rejection from MIT? I haven't heard of anything. Guess that's an implicit rejection then. :(
