Graduate School Admission Results

Finally. Had 1 paper and decent LORs. Got into UBC for their data science program. Final tally: 6/14 seems good. Will either go to Amherst or Waterloo.

TTPB: I think it is only for the PhD admission, not Master.

MMath Coursework. No email about acceptance, but received one that said large classes would happen online in the fall. Checked my status on Quest and found out I was admitted on 5/14.

If they have already short-listed the students, then why they are taking so much time to give rejections.

9.3/10 Undergrad from new IIT. GRE 157,70,4.5 TOEFL 112. 3 strong letters with 2 papers. Overqualified for this school: Oh yeah! Got rejected by UCLA, UCSD, CMU, TAMU, UIUC, Maryland College Park. Accepted into ETH Zurich, EPFL, UT Austin. Zurich is where I'll go! What a shit admissions season lol.

TTPB: Yep, still waiting..Idk how much more time do they need, it's been 5 and a half months. I can feel my bones fossilizing already.

TTPB: Is that only for PhD admissions?

TTPB: I talked with POI in March, at that time he said the short list already finalized. If you don't get admission around March, it's unlikely to get into their program.

Status changed to "Admit" on QUEST without email notification, and no offer letter is provided yet.

Same here. The last admit post on gradcafe last year was on 22 May. But it was a Spring offer though

Anyone else still waiting? Last day of this week is coming up... and it's already half way through May. I emailed grad office and received a reply that my application is still in review.

Thank God. Rejoice my brothers and sisters we can now move on with our lives!!! Rejection # 04 received. Feels great indeed.

Standard rejection email. Status updated in Portal as well. Only received the default covid 19 email about 1.5 months back. Later on tried to get in touch with the support team and got a response that the profile was still being considered and the decisions this year would be given till late May, early June. Good luck to all the folks who are still waiting.
