Got admit from CMU after reject from Cornell Tech, both on the same day, was in depression early morning, elated now, CMU is far better

those who cannot login, i think it doesnt mean rejected, actually, they are using it for posting our status and dont want us to see it, those who saw somehow earlier as they forgot to turn it off know their results somehow.

TTPB: How did you get your email at like 8 am in the morning? Or are you actually spamming?

Has anyone else heard back other than the below 2? I personally believe like the people below it'll be after last year's decision release days, not earlier.

Some people here are in misery because of the wait. So they decided to have some fun by adding fake posts and putting others in confusion. Imagine people losing their minds over a fake post you added, it's pathetically funny. Don't worry if you haven't received accept yet, hang in there!

I agree the CMU CS results are not reliable at all, not sure why people are motivated to put others through such misery when it doesn't even help them in any way.

Lol, guys. This thread is so funny. As we are waiting for results, each email notification causes an increase in blood pressure among all guys. Let's save ourselves from some high bp early at this age by not spamming :P

ML PHD, notified by POI

So guys, I'm pretty sure the previous posts were spam. I've applied for MCDS and MSCS and I mailed CMU asking for the decision dates. This was their exact reply: 'Admissions decisions are typically announced mid to late February'. I guess we don't need to stress so much about it right now.

MLD PhD program. No interview. Email notification from Graduate Programs Manager. Open House, March 19-20

Are all decisions from CSD and LTI out already? 11 publications including 3 at ACL 1st author, 1 at LREC 1st author, 1 at CVPR, 1 at SIGDIAL, 1 at EMNLP, 4 other workshop papers at top conferences, 4 internships in U.S. and Europe, 3.98 Masters G.P.A. Anxious as I did not get any email for an interview! I also did not get any email today. :( Does that mean that I am done?

To CMU Spammers: Please stop at least now. None of the master's notification came yesterday. Your lies are exposed.

TTPB, may I ask if the CMU MLT PhD results are released?

MLT will likely be released later just like the other master's degree admissions. A post below said MSCS and MCDS are both around mid-late Feb. It's likely MLT is the same.

TPPB: FYI, mscs, msml, mlt, will be released next week. I am currently in CMU 5th year master program.

So I received an email today claiming to be a Prof from CMU telling me I was admitted to the LTI masters. However, the email address did NOT match the email for the Prof listed on the CMU faculty page. I suspect this email is not legitimate, and believe that the admission decision log in link that can be found in the posts below to be a scam that is stealing emails. Please be careful with that link and double check any emails you receive that claim to be from CMU profs. Stay frosty y'all. There are scammers afoot.
