So excited!!!

Just got the call! So excited! My status on UApply hasn't changed. Apparently I'll get some kind of email or letter about officially accepting. I will definitely be accepting. :) Good luck to all!

Checked portal randomly today and saw link to decision letter at the bottom. Completely shocked I am accepted because of my low GRE. Seems like they are going out in waves, and they look at all pieces of application - I had extensive resume, strong PS and LOR! Official letter coming in the mail, no word on funding yet.

I think my GRE writing score (3) screwed me. I was told from a current professor that score wouldn't hurt my chances but I think it did. Grad school is more competitive than he remembers (hes retiring) or than how I expected it to me. I should have retaken it. I was rejected from BYU and wait-listed for Northern Colorado. A gap year isn't looking too bad right about now.

To the person who emailed the director at Marywood University, would you mind sharing your stats? Did he happen to mention how many people they were accepting?

I keep getting emails about open houses, but I have not heard anything about my application status. I have seen that people have gotten accepted... should I expect to get a rejection if I haven't heard anything yet?

To the poster asking if anyone else hasn't heard anything yet. I also haven't heard anything and called today and was told the department has my application and still has to make their decision. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing? A girl I went to undergrad with didn't interview there til late April and got accepted so still trying to be positive!

Does anyone have any idea how large their waitlist is? E-mailed to ask my position on the waitlist and was told they have not ranked it yet. Super anxious as this is my second time applying and I am on 3 waitlists currently, ugh!

The coordinator, Allan Smith, told me that they haven't sent out 25% of decisions yet because these are people who are most likely on the waiting list. He said they wanted to hear back from some of those accepted before officially notifying those wait-listed.

To the UNH poster below, he didn't give an exact date, but said it would be within the next few weeks. I'm in the same boat with no acceptances yet either, so fingers crossed. Good luck to you!

To the person asking about $$$ at Temple - I got an email from them a few days ago saying they have very limited funding and there's basically no chance of getting money from them. There was a link to apply to one of the assistantship positions they have available, but she emphasized that they were most likely to go to PhD students and very rarely went to first year students. So, not very encouraging! Congrats on getting in!!
