Graduate School Admission Results

Ignore status. Given the exceptionally high capacity of this year's application, does it mean that if we got no message from a school at this point we are being waitlisted? As far as I know this year's waitlist is almost equal to late rejection.

Interviewed (in person) Feb 2-3

Did not take GRE. ~2 years research experience in undergrad. In a gap year right now to work on research/lab management FT in my undergrad lab. No posters/talks (mainly due to health issues in my last year of undergrad), but 1 mid-author pub on the way. Lots of teaching/science writing experience. Worked extremely hard on personal statement/CV/meeting PIs with similar interests before applications were due. Application sent on deadline (Dec 1st 2022), received interview invite on Dec 9th, interviewed in mid-January. Thought I bombed the admissions committee interview, but PI interviews went well.

Reached out to POI and got an informal interview before submission of application. Anyway, I will not go there.

Phew at least my safety cane through 😮‍💨 Better than 0/10 Hopefully UCD less elitist and Uni not as important as PI.

Hi, Generic Question. Has anybody heard from Arizona State, TAMU, and U Florida physics departments yet? Why are they taking so long to send out decisions? Has anybody contacted these departments or have some info on the delay?
