Straight rejection. They said that they received a record number of applications this year, so they were unable to admit many qualified applicants. I had a publication but not in astro. However, congratulations to people who got offer.

Around ~1.5 yrs research experience in a different astro area than what I listed as my primary interest

I received an email on Feb 2 that there has been a change to my application statuse and this change will be made available in 1-2 business days. I checked today, and I was rejected. The application deadline for priority consideration was Dec 15, but I applied after it. Two years of research experience, no publications.

Received email that admissions decision will be updated in 1-2 business days on 2/2. Rejected on 2/4. 3.66 GPA, two years of research, no pubs.

Astro decisions have been made: 8 people offered this year. I emailed PI, they told me about it. Try reaching out to your PIs for an update.

2-year research experience; One first-author paper in preparation (expected to be submitted to MNRAS around Feb 2022).
