Graduate School Admission Results

I followed up early March with the department POC and was told "first round of admits were notified early Feb" but no ETA was given for second round admits, or rejections. After emailing again April 1, was told I was rejected- but I had to follow up with them to get that notification. Rejection was anticipated because of the application format.

Ignore waitlist; Those who are planning to decline Georgia Tech and have better offers, please decline it ASAP. If you delay the decision, Georgia Tech wouldn't send anymore offers before April. This would really help. Please make your decision asap.

Accepted off of the waitlist. Got an email from who wants to be my advisor letting me know, followed by an update on the portal. Have been submitted for fellowship, and funding offer should come in the next day.

Igonre Waitlist. Has anyone heard back from ASU? In the my ASU page, it still says in Review. If anyone has any communication to ASU Astrophysics department, Please comment below. Thank you

Ignore interview. They invited me to the open house session. I have no idea about what is an open house. Someone, please explain to me about the open house. Does everyone get this invitation?

Anyone heard anything from JHU astro? JHU physics has been sending out acceptances since 1st week of feb and on the other hand JHU astro has maintained pin drop silence

Email said they had a record number of applicants (260)

2 years research experience at different universities, no publications, second ranked at the department. Astro

Didn't expect to get rejected from there at least. Zero offer as of now.
