Graduate School Admission Results

Could the UHawaii poster explain more? Were they replying to an email from you or letting all the students who applied for them know? Is the whole program not accepting new students or just your PI? If just your PI, would you be okay with sharing initials?

PI emailed and alerted me that the program does not have enough funding to accept a student this year

Waitlisted! There's still a glimmer of hope.

Assuming I'm rejected, since last email said all wait lists and accepts would try to be contacted today.

Interviewed via phone on 1/14

Interviewed during AAS over phone. 1.5 years undergrad research combined between a small college (0.25 years) and large public university (1.25 years) and 1 year post-bacc research. 1 first first author publication in prep for ApJ. Presented posters at two AAS meetings and have a good amount of outreach and personal/side research projects. Was told I'd hear back in 2 to 4 weeks after my interview.

I had an interview on January 13th. They told me they'll have decisions sent out around the 25th of January for everyone waiting to hear. Good Luck to everyone!

35 minute zoom interview on 1/14/21

Interviewed Tuesday 1/12 over Zoom.

Formal interview. They said that they were trying to get through the interviews by Friday.

It took a while to hear back. I was very sad to see that I wasn't waitlisted. Good luck to everyone else that applied to this program. I wish you all the best. Cheers.
