Graduate School Admission Results

Heard back fast, however no mention of funding. Faculty unresponsive and not available for in person meetings due to Covid outbreak. Currently looking for other revenues for funding.

TTPB: Same situation as you. Applied for MS/Ph.D. and have not received any update till now other than the initial form asking me to fill up my interests. Has anyone mailed the department regarding this?

Mass rejection bloodbath on 4th

Hey poster below, I think they mentioned that they will be another round of results. As several other people from different faculties have mentioned out, they got delayed by the COVID pandemic. So don't panic just yet. I think we will see more results coming our way by mid-April

TTPB: Congratulations on your admits, however your hypocrisy is glaring. You are denigrating another user in the very same fashion in which you were chastising him/her for. Clearly there is a lot of luck involved in this process and it's reasonable for rejected students to express their frustration during this trying time.

Hi, is there anybody like me who hasn't heard back from them yet? My application was submitted very early (in Nov) but I had some problem with them receiving my scores from ETS, for which I emailed them in Feb and they immediately fixed it. So it's showing a date in Feb for when the application was 'completed'. Have they forgotten about me?

Haven't heard anything from NYU. Should I assume I am rejected?

I totally agree with the poster below. I am an international student too and got accepted to 9 schools including UMass, UCSD and GATECH. I have "so called" decent or mediocre profile that you say, but got into these schools. It's not because the schools have sh*t process but your CV and SOP is full of b*llsh*t and they know how to distinguish it. No use of blaming the schools that rejected you and denounce the accepted. Do not try to rationalize or justify yourself by denigrating the others.

Will there be any more round of admissions for the thesis program? Almost 3-month waiting and still undecided. No interview at all. Can I just consider it a silent rejection? Not seeing any accepted in April last year. Cannot be more anxious now.

Applied for the PhD stream. Got a reject. Now rejected for Masters too. Said that I will go only if funding is available. Would probably have gotten a reject otherwise too.

What a flawed admission process! This was literally my dream school! Average profiles are accepted, and good ones rejected. No idea what they are up to. Well, F*ck them. They are losing out on the people who deserve to actually go here.

I applied for the Winter 2021 session starting from Jan 2021. Most entries here are of the F20 category. Does anybody know when winter admits are sent out? Haven't received any updates apart from a COVID-19 email. Also no clue from statistics of previous years.

May be I was the last admit. Waited long enough. Probably going!!
