Kinda Disappointed.

First reject. 1 Journal submitted, 1 Conference accepted working on another paper, 3 internships(all relevant). currently, Assistant at a lab working on self-driving cars. Applied for Intelligent systems and controls, undergrad majors is control systems.

After rejection from PhD program, was invited to continue with the masters decisions and got in :)

Top 5 IIT, 1 workshop publication in CVPR, Multiple CV projects, 1.5 year work as an SDE in MnC, field : Computer Vision,

Replying to someone who asked below about UCSD BioE. I applied to the MS program directly.

Top 5 IITs, upper 8 pointer, 1 year work ex as SWE in top MnC, 1 year of research ex in Computer Vision, high GRE and TOEFL scores.

To the UCSD PB: they have sent several offers after the interview.

Had a long interview with my potential POI. He said the process is delayed in almost all the universities due to covid, so it is taking time to make decisions. For me he said, he will rolling decisions within one-week. Our profile(Area: AI hardware) is highly matching and the prof said he is also excited. Hoping for acceptance.

Is it over already? There is no activity here!! Has anyone heard anything from the department? (Or Applied Electromagnetics Group)

"Unfortunately, we are unable to recommend you for admission into the PhD program. However, based upon your application, we can recommend you for admission to our MS program. You would have the opportunity to petition to transition to the PhD program as early as the end of your first year if you: have a minimum GPA of 3.4, have found a lab willing to pick up your support through graduation, and pass our qualifying examination." MS not funded, but can apply for TAship

Recommended for (unfunded) MS admission, will probably take this if I get no other offers. You can petition to transfer to PhD at the end of your first year. GRE not submitted but included for perspective.

Ignore Waitlist. Is there any new about UCSD and Brown? I didn`t hear from them for more than 3 months !!!

Not Waitlist. I guess that my profile is not bad as well. GRE:328+ & AW: 4.0, TOEFL: 105+, GPA:3.9+/4.0. One CVPR paper 3rd author and one ICME paper co-author. But, I never hear anything back from UCSD, USC, and UC-Irvine after submitting.

TTP(s)B: All of you speculating about the disappearance of application proof indicating a reject: I am a deferred student from 2020 and I got a new update again in october 2020. The new admit letter. And my portal is active just like yours. And the application proof doesn't work for me either. I dont think it's got anything to do with reject/accept. Could be a glitch on the portal! All the best!
