Graduate School Admission Results

Received an email from the director of grad admissions informing me about my nomination for a fellowship and about the funding package. I'm assuming it's implied that I'll be receiving some sort of funding since they did mention they would call me to discuss the fellowship decision and my funding package. I'm saying implied because it does say this in the email: “...with our final number of appointments contingent on the availability of funds.” Congrats to all of those who were accepted to OSU! This is my first decision, so I'm very happy. I have a positive outlook for the rest.

Seems like this might be our week!!! Has anyone who applied to any Psychology programs heard anything recently??

To the below posters: how did you guys find out so fast? I login to check my application status and it still says pending. It's making me nervous. I'm not worried about funding, I'd just like to know if I'm going to be staying close to home or not.

Funding news: I already posted my acceptance below but for OSU English folks in general, fellowships from the university are announced in February, so the department will wait to see who gets fellowships from the pool of folks they nominated, then they will assign GTA positions after that. I had a call with the head of creative writing and was told that's how it works for the whole English dept.

Does the Social Psychology department admit based on POI/research? Or on other conditions? Like, grades, LOR, SOP?

Hello, I already posted my acceptance below, but wanted to respond to the other poster about funding. I also didn't receive any info on funding, but I have a feeling this info will come from the English department or someone else in grad admissions in the near future! Not exactly sure, though.

Accepted with no info about funding. Super worried and confused, since I thought they funded everyone.
